Fictional Fusion with Fashion

Few of us grew up with the fictional adventures of Famous Five, Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew ,Dana Girls and many more additions to the addictive library classes during the primary school years. The detective mind of mine has channeled it to the High School and at present in the form of Crime Patrol. I was accustomed of rushing towards the library room quiet often with the anticipation of getting hold of the latest editions from any of the above series.

Winding up with the photo session in Chantilly laced frock I walked through the surroundings of the palace for another set of clicks. Usually on every visit I never explore around, this time I walked around to bump into the most beautiful elevation a prominent view of the palace which is forbidden for tourists.

The desolate massive structure with its Italian goth architecture took me to the spookiest emotions from the above adventure books. The palace proudly stands despite of few earthquakes from the past. The earth violently shook once again on the 26th of January 2001 devastatingly, majority of the palace is in ruins. The bell tower withstood the tremors. It resembles the passage from the stories of the books, my presence in that place with huge locked doors, blocks of huge pink sandstone lying all over, the narrow spiral staircase with its unknown inscription of the past, some broken doors and windows, cast iron gates and frames, narrow passages to the queens chamber, rusted ancient locks still hanging on to some doors with loads of antique dusty furniture. You can imagine my resemblance to Frank minus Joe from the Hardy boys moving through the cobwebs going through these dark and dusty rooms looking at the ancient framed photographs of the Royal Jadeja clan who reigned in power during the pre Independent days. The huge halls were stored with huge brass pots and leather boxes.

Once a mighty kingdom now in rubble.Loosing my way I was fortunate to get out from a small carved wooden brass knobbed door humming to the tunes of Kingdoms come and Kingdoms fade but you always remain.Ages pass and seasons change but you always remain.

I hurried out through the cobwebbed tunnel to get into my Alfred Dunner’s ankle length trousers teaming up with Karen Scott black high neck top. In my Vogue glares carrying this small leather box bag gifted by our helping hand Lalabhai sporting a weaved Brazilian newspaper hat.

Look into my pictures, I did feel like one of the characters spying to sneak in for secret attics and to walk away eerily with the treasure hunt.

Pictures clicked on 31st August 2013~
